For my project at Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof - organised during the pandemic - the curator, Mitko Mitkov, invited me to make a two-fold presentation. The first part was an audio piece exploring connection to the Other, which could be listened to both online and, in small groups, in person.
After institutions in Germany reopened, we prepared the second part of the presentation: a series of tiles on the bar at the Kunstverein. I created the texts in my studio, and Mitko screen-printed them in Hamburg, as travelling was still quite complicated.
This work […] deals with touches as sensual experiences, as a coercion, as a connection and as a superstition to get closer to an abstract-uncanny Unknown.
